Prob plying games over lan

  1. I am having problems playing games over lan..........i have connected 2 computers with each other via lan card and a network cable.i have set up ip addresses properly and i am having proper network sharing.......but i dont know then why i cant play games like need 4 speed 2se, Commando2 and chess over lan:hotbounce ...........is this serial connection which i am using or its network?plz explain breifly how to play these games over lan.I am using winxp 2sp.

    Do you have any software firewalls active on the computers? Disable these, including the WIndows Firewall.
    Some (very) old games require the IPX protocol to be installed.

    For instructions of how to play the game over the network, the game manual would be a good place to start :)

    I really dont have the game manual..........can u send it to me via email? coz i need it most............. Here in pakistan all the games are pirated i cant find here any manual....or please giv me any site address from where i can download manual.

    Ummm, try the manufacturer's website? :)

    Those games are so old they probably use IPX or TCP through dial up...
