Not sure what's causing it, but suddenly my pc seems to be much slower than usual. Browser speeds of both IE and Firefox seem considerably slower also. The task manager indicates that iexplore.exe jumps from around 50% to 80% of cpu usage, but very little network utilization seems to be being used, even when only opening pages that are allready in the ie history.

Your system has been infected with a trojan and possibly other malware.
Important: Please read this thread HERE before you decide whether to clean or reformat your system.
Should you decide to clean your computer, please follow the next steps:
You may wish to copy and paste these instructions on notepad for easier reference later.
Boot into safe mode under your normal user name. See how HERE
Next turn on "Show all files and folders, including hidden and system". See how HERE
Open your task manager by pressing holding ctrl, alt and pressing del. Alternatively, use ctrl + shift + esc. Go to the processes tab, and end the following processes, if found:
bdmjk.exe
mytnuuc.exe
After that, run HijackThis and fix the following entries, if found (do this by placing a tick in the check boxes beside these entries and clicking "Fix checked"):
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe, C:\WINDOWS\system32\bdmjk.exe
F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,mytnuuc.exe
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)
O16 - DPF: {E473A65C-8087-49A3-AFFD-C5BC4A10669B} (Quantum Streaming IE Player Class) - http://mvnet.xlontech.net/qm/fox/06101102/qsp2ie06101001.cab
Close HJT.
Navigate in Windows Explorer and delete the following files and folders in bold.
C:\WINDOWS\system32\bdmjk.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\mytnuuc.exe
Reboot into normal mode and rehide your protected OS files.
Now, please visit Viruses/Spyware/Malware, preliminary removal instructions and follow the steps to cleaning your computer.
Do follow all the instructions exactly.
Thereafter, please post fresh HijackThis, AVG Antispyware and Combofix logs as attachments into this thread. Do not copy and paste if not it will be ignored and/or removed by the moderators.
The logs will enable us to understand that much more about the problems on your system.
