problem booting

Hi

I had a dual boot system running win 98SE on C drive and Win XP with sp2 on D drive. I had also divided the hard disks in to several other partitions:
E for data
F for flower pics
G for pdf files
H for Images of the xp operating system
I for installation files and other photos
J for cd writer
K for cd reader
L for removable card reader

All was working well until i decided to get rid of Win98 on the C drive by formatting the drive, forgetting that the boot instructions were also there, so now i can't boot up when i switch on. The boot process stops at :-

Verifying DMI Pool Data
Boot from ATAPI -CD- Rom: Failure
Disk Boot Failure, insert system disk and press enter

I would be most grateful if some one could tell me how to proceed so that i can get to winXP again. Also what is system disk?

Many thanks
Paul Martin

Hi tomrca Thanks for your reply . I can change the boot order from the bios but the original boot details which allowed me to choose whether to fire up win98 or XP have been lost -any suggestions as to how to put them back
