Ok...here's what happened. A while back, I decided to uninstall Norton Antivirus because I had another antivirus program so i really didn't need it. so i uninstalled it. but when i rebooted, it would keep trying to run virus checks and said that norton needed to do it but couldn't. so i decided to reninstall it so that i could check into why it did that. but now that i want to uninstall it again the norton antivirus program does not show up under add or remove programs so i have no way of removing it. i kno its on there, but am not sure what to do to get rid of it. any suggestions?

Danny, I had a very similar problem last year and had to have my (HTP?) stacks rebuilt as a result of removing Norton system works. It gets deeply into the registry and is very difficult to remove. I have to say, (I realize this sounds timid), unless you're willing to rebuild your entire system, leave Norton alone.
