There are a couple of problems that I see, first, and the likely cause of your trouble is DMA is off on your burner. you need to renable DMA. go to device manager and look under "IDE ATA|ATAPI controllers" look under the IDE channel that your drive is on. then look under the advanced tab. that should show that DMA is off and most likely your drive is operating in PIO mode. reset it to DMA if it wont stay set on DMA uninstall the IDE channel the burner is on and reboot. windows will automatically reinstall the channel and the drive when it restarts. this usually fixes the DMA problem.

The second problem I see is you have 512M of ram with only 106MB free. something yuo are running is eating up alot of memory. you should consider getting more ram. XP with 1Gb runs much smoother and if you like games with large maps 2GB dont hurt.

DiskPeripheral : ST3160023A 8.01 viadsk Port 0 ID 0 DMA: Off
CdRomPeripheral : HL-DT-STDVDRAM GSA-4163BA102 viadsk Port 1 ID 1 DMA: Off
CdRomPeripheral : Generic DVD-ROM 1.0 d347prt Port 2 ID 0 DMA: Off
CdRomPeripheral : Generic DVD-ROM 1.0 d347prt Port 2 ID 1 DMA: Off
Yep, ISS is right on the money. You may need to update your chipset drivers in order to get those drives all running in DMA - there's probably a reason DMA is turned off and this may fix the issue.

Thanks for the help guys.I`m sure this will fix my problem.About the DMAs,i think i disabled them all when i reseted my bios.I had to clean my pc some days ago and i used to have some problems making it run again so i did some things like reseting the bios i mentioned.Dummy me:) Anyway thanks again.Oh and btw Rick i like your avatar:) and btw what happened to Cyrix?:)
