I recently pruchased a Viper 9600xt video card. When i installed the drivers ( which I removed the old video card drivers first) after he reboot some of my icons had vertical lines through them. Then i procceded to play my fav game Quake 3 arena and my computer totally froze. Then I removed those drivers and installed the ones from ATI and have the same problem. Furthermore, when a move my curson over certain fields on the screen it will chage into a box with horizontal lines though it. I have an MSI kt3 ultra motherboard with 1 gig of ram. Any help would be appreciated.

BTW i have a feeling it might be caused by the motherboard, any settings in the bios that you think might help?
