Problem with Geforce 6600

I recently purchased a Geforce 6600 to replace the 5200 that came with my compy, followed instructions to the latter when installing, games work great except now certain video files on Windows media player will spend about 30sec saying "opening file" and then my compy restarts... I then get an error message telling me the problem is with my Nvidia driver, so i download the latest one following the instructions again, uninstalling previous drivers etc and it still does the same thing... what could be the possible cause of the problem?

the driver is forceware 84.21
Processor is AMD athlon xp 2600

Is it the 6600GT?

Perhaps it's not getting enough juice from the PSU via the Molex at the front of the Card.

Do you know how many Watts your Power Supply is?

What other stuff are you running - Hard Drives / Optical Drives etc ?

Have you overclocked the Card?
