Problem with intergrated wireless Lan

Ok maybe someone can help me with this issue. I have a WirelessLan Prism 3 IEEE802.11b WM168 USB Module. Alot of the time I have to use a External USB wireless by netgear in order to have wireless. I have tried everything disabling uninstalling and even removing and reintalling it to get it to work. It seems to want to work when I have the Netgear external wireless plugged in. I have tried updating the drivers and everything. IOt seems to be working fine right now but Iknow after a restart or 2 it will not want to work also sometimes it connects very low and it is in the same room as the wireless router. Does anyone have any suggestions?
