Okay. I have my taskbar. The quick launch is there. All my other bars are there. But the tabs for applications, that's gone. I've tried everything I can think of (which isn't much 
), but to no avail. I have no idea what that little bar is called that holds the application tabs. I can still switch between them with alt+tab, so its not a major issue I suppose. I've found no trace of malware, trojans, viruses, etc. I've used AVG, spybot and mcafee.
Any help would be appreciated. Oh, it simply was gone when I turned on my computer this afternoon. I am the only one who uses it as well. Thanks
