Problem with Nero

    I am unable to detect my cd writer as a recordable device in nero it will only give me an option for an image writer. When I checked the drive it say the device was working properly i m using Nero 5.5.1.9. Thank you :(

    It is always best to fill out your 'Profile" with your equipment and O/S , you will get faster and better advice.
    Did Nero ever work or were you just loading it for the first time.
    Is your version of Nero the most recent ?
    Does your cdwriter have the latest 'firmware"
    These are the two most common solutionsto your issue.

    One more common mistake is that people want to use OEM Nero with some other drive.

    Copies of Nero shipped with writing devices will work only with that device. If you upgraded your writer then you will have to install the version that came with the new one.
