Problem with nvidia 5200

I've this peculiar problem -
All video playback and even mediaplayer visualization is jerky after installation of nvidia FX 5200 (using latest forceware driver).
But it is smooth as long as I keep my mouse moving (using microsoft usb intellimouse!!!!

Also, it does not happen if I use ATI 9000!!

I've tried drivercleaner after uninstalls and resintalled the card and driver again but it still is a problem.

I'm hoping that mouse movement and it relation to smooth video will point to the casue.

i got the same prob with my 5200, i think the drivers they brought out were just poo, so i went by to an older driver version and its all fine now.

Yeah I would try older divers. That might fix the problem. As to what version to use is the question as Nvidia has and endless amount of version. Try some pre 50.XX versions

Apart from the new 52.16, I've tried 45.23 also and that too didn't work. I'm looking for other version.

Well sorry to hear that, but in my bro system that problem never occured, using driver from omega. try it maybe it solve your problem.

a couple things to try are new motherboard drivers, if any are available, and possibly upgrading your mouse driver to Intellipoint 5.0 drivers, assuming you have XP/2000.
