Problem with S Video connection . pls help

i have a problem when i'm trying to connect my laptop with TV trough S-Video - SCART cable ... it's working but only in black and white colour ...could you help me ??? i have 7 pin S-Video output on my laptop but 4 pin S-Video cable ... Should it be a problem ???
