I've just installed a massive 3GBs RAM and whereas the BIOS says it can see 3GBs, through Windows Systems Properties/General it says it can only see 2.87GB. Also, through "System Information" it shows the following:

    Total Physical Memory 3,072.00 MB
    Available Physical Memory 2.17 GB
    Total Virtual Memory 2.00 GB
    Available Virtual Memory 1.96 GB

Shouldn't Available Physical Memory be higher? Or am I missing something?

    Thanks in advance...

If you have on board video it takes up your ram so it can run vgraphics etc.(you proporties shows your total ram, not your available ram).
    cheers
