You need to go into the BIOS {usually by pressing DEL at the 1st screen}, look for BOOT menu, {probably has it's own TAB, or is in Advanced Chipset Features} and set it to boot from CD, then HDD. That way it will boot from your Windows CD and begin setup.

    It could be.

Is it being found by the BIOS? If not, check the Cables.

Make sure the CD isn't badly scratched or dirty as it may fail to read.

Attempt to clean the cd... if that doesnt work you may need to create boot floppys, you can do this by downloading a program from, search for "boot floppy".

What is the name of the addition that connect the belt with the DVD-R?: HDD\CD-ROM?
