[Inactive] Problems connecting to websites during 8-step removal

  1. Lordoftomato Newcomer, in training

    I'm currently completing step 3 of the 8-step malware removal
    instructions but my firefox browser cannot connect to
    http://www.windowsupdate.com to check for any updates. it says "The
    connection was reset. The connection to the server was reset while the
    page was loading." but only does this when i try to connect to this
    update site. Also, my chrome browser is not functioning so i cannot
    try with that. Should i just skip this part and continue to next
    steps? any help would be appreciated.
