I recently purchased a PCI HD2400PRO ATI card, and began the setup process. Since all i had on my computer was an integrated graphics card, I didn't uninstall he drivers. I unplugged everything, inserted the card carefully, plugged everything back in and closed the case. Since I have turned it on, the monitor has just been a black screen for a few minutes now. Reading one of Newegg's reviews, apparently this has happened to a few other people. Most suggested to let it boot for about 10 minutes and then it will work. Any other suggestions?

Remove the addon graphics card
Start up with onboard (yes keep the onboard drivers)
Go to your System CMOS settings (usually press DEL or F2 during the first 3 secs)
Change your graphics from onboard to addon video card (I didn't check if it was AGP or PCI-E)
Save and Exit (or F10)

Shutdown (just pull the cable, or hold the ON button in for 5 secs)
Re-Install the graphics card
Put the video connector back in it
Turn on
