Everytime i try to install directx 9 of any version, i always get the error "directx did not copy a required file".
My comp specs are:
Dell Dimension 4600
intell pent 4 2.4 ghz
geforce4 mx 440 with agp8x
windows xp home edition version 2002 sp1
if you need to know any other specs just let me know.

also i can add the log file that i got when i tried to install it in safe mode

any help would be much appreciated, thx and lates
