Problems with RealTek Sound Manager

So i have a gigabyte motherboard and a nvidia video card in my self built pc. The motherboard has on board sound but i can seem to get the jacks to sense the regular head phones i plug into the back. Would someone help me?

You could just tell the drivers to use a head phone anyways by going to "speaker configuration" then clicking on headphones. If that dosen't work you can override it by just correcting what it sees in the sense connecting page.
