  1. Man I hate windows xp! I built my own computer since my old dell broke.

I used the OS that came with dell and installed it and it worked fine.

The problem is that i cant activate it. I used the phone and i said the code.

When I thought everything is going good, it says that i can't activate and tried reinstalling.

Grrr... It still doesn't works. What do I do now?

Well....Depending on the differences of your new PC and your Dell (which had the XP installed and activated I presume?) you won't be able to activate it. I think on the first activation the XP's code is logged with the PC's specific hardware specification therefore if you make any major hardware changes when trying to reactivate it will not recognise the hardware specification. Phone up micorsoft tech and explain the problem to them, they should be nice enough to reset your activation code if you tell them the reasons behind your using a new PC.
