Producer hints at a PC version of Assassin's Creed Rouge

One of the bigger releases this holiday season that won't be making an appearance on the PC is Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed Rogue, the console-only title that allows you to play as a Templar in various North American locations.

However, according to the game's producer, Karl Von Der Luhe, there's a chance the game will make it to PC sometime in the future. In an interview, he stated that although the game is being developed solely for consoles, Ubisoft has "heard a lot of response requesting a PC version, so we'll be looking into that very soon."

Rogue's release on just the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 makes it the only main title in the Assassin's Creed series so far that won't be launching on PC. All seven other games, including Assassin's Creed Unity that's set to launch this November, have come to PC, typically with a one or two month 'Ubidelay'.

It's not completely confirmed that Rogue will be hitting the PC, but it's a decent indication that Ubisoft may do so, especially with a number of recent games getting re-releases on current-generation consoles and PC (such as Grand Theft Auto V). Spin-off title Assassin's Creed: Liberation HD was the last AC game to get ported to PC, after first launching on the PlayStation Vita.

If you'd rather not wait for a launch on PC, Assassin's Creed Rogue will be released on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 11, the same day Unity is released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

If you love it so much you should've noticed by now that you can become a member. It's free to all except Apple users because the site owners correctly surmise that if you don't mind being ripped off by Apple then you won't mind them doing the same thing.

I haven't played AC IV or Liberation HD yet (still going through my back catalog), but I can't wait for Unity and Rogue.
