Program Leaves Stuff After Uninstall

By ilovetacos

  1. I downloaded a program (PHP Coder, a PHP and HTML editor) about ten minutes ago, decided I didn't like it, and uninstalled it. The problem is, I told it to modify HTML and PHP files so that I could load the file and edit it just by clicking on it. After I uninstalled it, though, my PHP files would still have the PHP Coder image on them and are still called PHP Coder files. Also when I right click on HTML files, it still says Open with PHP Coder.

Any way to get rid of this?

You need to reset the file association for html and php. Go to Control Panel > Folder Options > File Types > scroll down until you find the type - click to select and then click change, then select the program you want to open it when you select it.
    Repeat as necessary!
