Hello!

I'm looking for a truly recovering deleted partitions and/or files program.
You can find by the net EASY RECOVER PRO, WINTERNALS DISK COMMANDER and other similar recovering programs. But I checked these programs cannot truly recover deleted partitions and files. They just appearance ($) recover programs. These weak programs cannot recover files/partition from a disk which were just the MBR sector erased!
Do u know a program really works on recovering?

thanks!

I have a utility called Lost and found that is the best I have found. I don't even know if it is still available or not. I'm sure you could find a copy somewhere though. I don't even remember if or what it costs. To use it, you run it in DOS from its floppies and point it to the disk to recover then point it to a place to save the files. It is easy to use.

As with all recovery software, it isn't going to recover everything and will possibly recover nothing. I have used it to recover much of the data from disks which have been formatted and repartitioned though I have also not been able to do the same.

um, winternals disc commander can recover lost volumes when the MBR has been erased, or the drive's been re-partitioned/formatted etc... I find it a pretty powerful and useful tool to be honest.

another good one is getdataback - http://www.runtime.org/ it's been well reccommended to me, although I've not used it yet.

Ontrack's Easy Recovery Professional 6.0 does support recovery with a damaged MBR/MFT or no MBR/MFT at all. I happily own the program and have a decent opinion on if it, but I have never had the fortune (or misfortune) of recovering a partition with it. I hope to try it out one day (hopefully, not on my own drive though. ;)) It also gets around bad sectors, cross-linked files and other nasty things chkdsk is supposed to fix.

From what I understand, no program works 100% of the time either, so it's best to keep your stuff backed up in the first place (If you can afford the extra storage space needed) in case of an emergency. It's extra hassle, but well worth the effort.

Data recovery is a very delicately balanced process. Something as simple as disk fragmentation makes it nearly impossible to recover file from a deleted partition. Prevention and backups are always the best methods to deal with data loss.

If you plan on buying programs like Easy Recovery Pro, it will cost you an arm and a leg and is often not worth the money involved since your chances of getting back your important data are very, very slim.

pity it seems never actually to do so!

man, i sometimes think that scandisk.exe for DOS is better... pity its FAT and FAT32 only.....

Hello,

EASEUS DataRecoveryWizard utility can help. Speaking about me, it was
easily able to restore deleted, lost file and unformat drive,
so I think you will also find it quite useful. Really recommended
tool, give it a try.
