Project CARS for PC will include option to run at 12K resolution

Ok setting aside the pedantic reply the fact still remains this is not 12k!

And no pretty sure 1920x1080 is not 2K...

Just like 3840x2160 is not 4K

Again with the confusion. As clifford pointed out - 2K is much closer to 1920x1080. Even though the the shorthand naming (2K, 4K, etc) identifies the horizontal resolution the vertical resolution and aspect ratio matter. Another point of confusion is when people say 720p or 1080p or some other #p they are identifying the vertical resolution. Another confusing point with that naming scheme is the "p" used to represent progressive mode - and it's all progressive for us now so it's mostly meaningless except to help people figure out which naming scheme you're using.

No all progressive at all, many tv channels are broadcast interleaved to give consumers the higher resolution but allow them to maintain lower bandwidths

I'm sorry - when I said it was all progressive for us I was talking about the world of computing. Computer monitors, with no TV tuners, are still referred to as 1080p when there is no 1080i option available.
