Prompted for CD during WinXP Reinstall despite already in CD drive

Trying to do a reinstall of Windows XP after upgrading my mobo. I am able to boot off the WinXP CD and it goes through the copying files stage. When the computer reboots and proceeds with the next part of the process it prompts me to put the CD in despite the fact that it is already in the drive. The drop down window shows the location D:\I386. It's trying to copy files from this directory on the CD, but is having a hard time recognizing the CD and that the directory exists on the CD. Tried to burn the I386 directory to another CD but still unable to detect it. Second thing I tried was to copy the WinXP CD to hard drive in Recovery Console, but the copy function only allows you to copy one file at a time. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
