PSU recommendation for Amd Athlon 64 X2 5600

  1. does anyone know what is the psu recommendation for the amd athlon 64 x2 5600? by this i mean the wattage. how much would the wattage on a psu have to be able to run the cpu? help would be appreciated.

    I think a good-quality 300W PSU should be enough. The wattage of the PSU would depend more on your other components, such as the graphics card, which will be the main power consumer in the system (if you have a current-gen i.e. a high-end GeForce 7\8 series card or a similar ATI X1xxx series card), as well as the number of disk drives as USB devices connected.
