PSU Voltage readings?

Just acquired dead computer...no post..no beep. PSU voltages seem all within tolerance EXCEPT PURPLE = 6.82v ! Can anyone tell me what this wire feeds?
Is it safe to put another processor in to see if that is why computer is dead?
Any/all help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance...

The purple wire supplies the +5V standby voltage that feeds the motherboard (and other devices) even when the system is "powered off".

That near-7V could easily fry circuitry, so I would advise against connecting that PSU to anything.

Maybe someone flicked the 110/220V switch? :p

Voltage switch

Well....looked at Voltage selector on PSU ... it is set solidly at 115
Thanks...either need to change PSU first and then test w/ another CPU or just R+R MOBO,CPU,and PSU all at once
Thanks again
