Quake 4, experiencing weird glitches in graphics.

Hey everyone, I just bought quake 4, since my friend said it was awesome.

As I naturally began to play, after just 30 minutes or so, the game would glitch up and it would show all sorts of lines and then start to go blank and stop showing details.

I can't tell my videocard's temperature from my computer, since there's no sensor on the card, but my CPU doesn't seem to go over 48 degrees C.

My system specs are as followed:
AMD Athlon 64 (3500 @2.2GHz Clawhammer)
1256 no name DDR333 RAM
ePower 450W PumaII PSU
ATI Sapphire Radeon x1600xt
80GB IDE100 HDD
DVD/CD Burner Combo Drive
Chaintech VNF4 Ultra w/ nforce4 chipset

That sounds like the card overheating or a problem with the power supply. Ive never heard of the one you have.

Yeah, but it never does that on any other game, CS;S, HL2, BF2 or Far Cry..
