Question About Dial-Up Modems

  1. I have a question about Dial-up. I hate Dial-Up, but unfortunately it is the only thing available in my area at the moment. I heard from someone that U.S. Robotics used to make a modem that would let you use 2 dial-up accounts at the same time. does anyone know if it is still possible to use 2 dial-up accounts and combine thm into one for a double speed. If so where can I get one does USR still make them. I hope you understand what Iam trying to say. I want to make my Dial-up faster for the time being. Not sure what it is called when you use 2 dial up acccounts at the same time. I hope you can answer my question. Thank you for your time.

    Sincerely

    Greg

What is required for Dual Modem Access?
    Two phone lines
Two modems in the same computer
    Windows 95, 98, NT(SP3), Me, 2000 or XP
    Dual Modem 112k (Multilink) Service

You have to make sure your service provider supports multilink access.
