Question about Google Chrome

  1. I love Google Chrome because it much faster than my Firefox, SeaMonkey or Opera but everytime I use it, when I run my SuperAntiSpyware scans, I get TOO many adware & other cookies I believe they are.
    I block 3rd party cookies in ALL browsers & use an adblocker in each browser & obviously don't click on any type of ad.
    I've pasted the latest FULL scan in here so if its an easy fix,fine.NO registry fixes either. Otherwise I'll dump Google Chrome. I want my clean scans back.:)
    Here is the scan;

    Hey there, learninmypc. :)

    I've used the extension suggested by mike1959. Works OK for me. You can also try adblock plus. Chrome will warn you about it the same way it does for all other extensions. But I've not had problems with it at all. I have installed on my laptop.

    Here's a link: http://adblockplus.org/en/chrome/

    Ok, I've added what mike1959 suggested so as of now, I have the following addons ;
    Adblock 2.5.37
    Better popup blocker 2.1.6
    Keep My Opts out 1.0.14
    Vanilla Cookie Manager 1.2.0
    WOT 1.2.14.6
    & Gmail notifier

    @Dawn1113, if my adblock is the same one you suggest,I'll leave mine. If not,I'll replace it.
    @Jude, If it can be installed with out too many tweeks & not require too much brain power, I might try it.
    Thanks to all for your input.(y)

    Well, no sense in wasting 3 plus hours on a full scan

    IF the easiest way to go is to dump Google Chrome,I will.IF using that hostsman thing Jude suggested works, there better be an easy to follow tutorial on it or ???:) .

    Hi, If of any interest, I use the Maxthon 3 web browser, I get no trouble at all.
    I do have I.E 9 & Firefox, but I prefer this one.
    I have a homepage with my 9 speeddials, and there are 9 more + another 9 more if I need them, just one click away.
    It looks like this;

    Thanks mike1959 but since Maxthon is on the IE type browsers,I think I'd try some other browser first. I don't even use my IE 8 unless I'm running eset scans. But thanks for the info,I might change some day.:)

    Funny you mentioned that. I guess it would only be appropiate to have it, since I'm using their firewall & AV. :)
    Might just check it out,thanks.(y)

    As much as I loved Google Chrome, Its gone. I used REVO in Advanced Mode to get rid of it & did a system search & nothing was found. Rebooted & came to post. I'll probably check out Comodo Dragon, .
    No offense to anybody, but I don't want an IE type browser. Thanks for everybodys input & I hope you had an awesome 4th,I did.:)

    I have Chrome and Ad Block Plus , and it does not block nearly as well as it does on Firefox. When SuperAntiSpyware runs , it finds a ton of cookies and other Malware. Firefox is just too slow on my computer and I just uninstalled it.. I am thinking of using Comodo Dragon instead of Chrome..

    After I uninstalled Google Chrome, I waited a day & ran SAS & it found a single cookie. You might try SeaMonkey before Comodo Dragon. SeaMonkey is in the Firefox family but I prefer it head over heals to Firefox.
    I've found when I turn my browsing history OFF in FF, it does load faster because it don't have to load all those speed dial sites.
    Have a great day.:)

    Thanks but I really don't care for Sea Monkey. I have installed Pale Moon , which is a Firefox Clone , and it is running great. A whole lot faster than Firefox on my computer. I used the Revo Pro to remove Chrome. But I have gmail and also Google Earth and use Google as default seach , so Google is still around , lol. But The Revo uninstaller did get rid of all things Chrome and Google updater.

    No problem. I might try Pale Moon, still too early to know if I even want/need a 4th browser. I'm using FF right now, but SeaMonkey is my default. Have an awesome day.:)

    There is also one called Waterfox. Some say it's faster than Pale Moon , but not to me it isn't. I am happy so far with Pale Moon. But it is not on the rapid update cycle like Firefox and Waterfox. I did put my tabs on top like in Firefox because I like them on top.

    Both of these browsers are customizable and uses all Firefox extensions and add-ons. If you like rapid automatic updates , you might like Waterfox better. It has the same update cycle as Firefox.
