Radeon x1300 installation problem

I need to install a new vidoe card because my onboard doesn't fully support directx 9.0. Here are my computer specs:

hp a824n
ASUS PTGD1-LA
910 gv chipset
dual pentium 4 3ghz
1G RAM
3 PCI slots
no pci-e or agp :(
on board graphics
Windows xp sp2
power supply:
AC input voltage (47-63Hz):
100-127V/8A
200-240V/4A
DC output wattage: 300 Watts

So, I bought a radeon x1300 pci. It installed okay and I changed the BIOS to use PCI, but it doesn't seem to work. I get all the way to point where I should see the users names for logging in, but the screen is just kinda gray. I installed all the latest drivers and updated the BIOS, but no go. The device manager says: This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use. (Code 12)

Not sure what to do from here.

All help appreciated.

Thanks

Have you tried going into safe mode ? Did you try the other output of the video card ? Did you connect the molex power to the card ?
