Raid 0 with different speed drives

Hi, I'm about to build a PC using a Asus P5E3 Premium Mobo with a WD 300GB Velociraptor as a boot/application disk and a WD 1TB drive for data. The hard drive supports Raid 0 and 1.

So I figure that Raid 0 will stripe the data across a fast and slow hard drive, nullifying the advantage of the Velociraptor as my boot/application drive. In which case do I need to run 2 velociraptors in a 0 array to get the benefits of the faster drive. Is this right or is this a dumb question? Thanks for any advice.
