Hey, I would like to setup RAID 0 or 1 striping. Whats the process in doing so. I have an ASUS A8N-SLI motherboard and a 500gb Hitatchi HD but I was going to raid Maxators x 74 gig Raptors. Any help would be appreciated and what raid card to use. Want the most out of speed and smoothness. Thanks!

The ASUS A8N has onboard RAID capabilities. You need only to connect your Raptors to the same RAID controller, then access the RAID controller setup when your PC boots.

Have the drivers ready on a floppy, does ASUS provide driver disk or is it on the CD?

Go through your manual and enable SATA if it is not by default

After POST you will be prompted to press combination of keys to enter the RAID setup utility, once your Array issetup, begin Windows setup and
press F6 when prompted to add additional SCSI and such drivers.

Partition and foramt just as you would a single volume and you should be in Windows in about 30 to 45 minutes. Then happy re-starts till you finish drivers, updates and the rest ...
