ok i have a question.

the ram i have for my mobo now is DDR2 pc2-4300 (533). i want to upgrade my mobo but keep the ram.

some of the Mobo's specifications for the DDR2 standard is: DDR@ 667 or 800.

can i still put my 533 in those Mobo's?

In most cases the motherboard will work fine at that bus speed. If you post which ones you're looking at it would be easier to say.

Most of the mobos that I've seen which require DDR2 RAM accept either 533, 667 or 800, but you need to check the specs of any mobo you're thinking about purchasing.

the FAQs in this forum address the issue of mixing speeds.

Bottom line: Not recommended.
