I've recently put in another RAM, 512mb, 133Mhz, CL3 to add to my old 256 mb 133Mhz, CL3 in my AMD Athlon 2000+ computer but the performance hasn't improved that much, I was led to believe adding RAM would make a big change in terms of performance. Am I being picky or has the upgrade not worked well?

It depends on what you. Multi-tasking, having 20 browser windows (or 20 tabs), opening big files in Photoshop or video/audio editing programs should be faster but normal usage (word, exell, solitair...) won't change that much.
