I've chose an EVGA 790i mobo for gaming but i havent got a clue about RAM speeds and what not. Are RAM speeds important? The speeds supported for the mobo on dabs.com are PC3-10666 PC3-12800 PC3-16000 PC3-8500 and on Overclockers.co.uk are DDR3 1066/1333/1600/2000 MHz. Why are these different?
My question really is what the speeds mean and the pro's and con's of having faster or slower RAM for gaming. If possible could somone post some compatible RAM (that are in the middle of the range of quality and price) for my mobo from one of those websites! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thnx!!
