Ram Issues I DON'T KNO WHY

Ok i have 512 dual channel Ram Right 2 sticks of 256 and i have 2 slots left so i bought 2 other sticks of 256 so i have 512 there dual channel
256 mb 1rx16 pc2 - 3200 thats what it says on the ram or w/e now when i put it in it works great fast and wonderful but then my comp freezes like 10 minutes later or 15 can't really remember whats wrong with it

are yuo sure that the additional ram you bought is the same type as what you allready had installed?

it is possible that one fo your new sticks of ram is defective you could try memtest on it. but before doing that I would try removing th new modules and see if that solves the problem. if it does then either your ram is faulty or one or more of the memory slots is defective.

could you provide more info in your hardware?

i had exactly the same problem when i was using me old corsair memory and it turned out to be a fried ram module
