Random BSOD crashes Windows 7 64-bit

i have read to run memtest while this work with a quadcore processor
i have just built a computer i am randomly no more than once a day usually less i get a black screen

Western Digital Caviar Black 500 gb

i have noticed i can not get into my bios either
should i try memtest or is there another test for quad core proccessors

The latest version of memtest86 will work with your CPU and memory. I would suggest that you play with the memory's voltages and timings a bit
