I've got a problem with my main computer. It's a custom build with XP Pro. About 3 months ago I started experiencing mysterious stop errors which I analyzed back as some sort of "hardware problem" or conflict. These things will occur at any given time, but the system will also run for up to 24 hours or more without blue screening. I haven't added any new hardware to the system and very minimal software.
Is there any way to track down the source of such an error. Analyzing the minidump doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere. They will vary from something with the USB to just a "stop" error or one of those IRQ_NOT_LESS_THAN messages. I simply can't get a clear read as to what hardware (or software?) would be causing this.
TIA for any help! I really need it on this one. This machine is used for business so I really didn't want to have to reformat/reimage ... especially if it is a hardware problem after all.
