  1. It's become of public knowledge that RealNetworks has offered rival, Apple Computer, to partner and form a common front against Microsoft in the digital music business.
Real offer suggests that Apple should open up its propietary system so that music downloaded from Rhapsody and the Real music store could also be stored in iPod players, Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs, however is expected to reject the offer.

There is a catch however, and Real's Chief Officer strongly hinted on his message to Mr. Jobs that if no deal could be stroke they would be forced to join forces with Microsoft against Apple and switch over WMA.

Update: RealNetworks has now confirmed that Apple chairman, Steve Jobs, has rebuffed their offer to form an online music alliance involving Apple's best-selling iPod portable players.
