  1. Hello,

My PC is really starting to annoy me, the other day it booted to the desktop screen in about 10 secs then sat there doing nothing for a good 5 mins on the desktop screen.

When i say nothing i mean it still had to load F-Secure but there was a huge pause before it even got round to it.

So i did a spyware search removed all of that, then i did "msconfig" to check what was booting up i removed a couple of programs then restarted. It takes even longer now and it wont even load F-Secure even though all of the exes are on the boot list.

    Any help would be appriciated,

    Thanks

    Alex

Read the system logs? It is probably some service trying to establish a network connection and failing.
