I have realtek HD audio manager and the manager keeps muting my microphone when I don't say something for 10 seconds. It only started happening recently and I've been having to go into it and unmute it manually and is getting annoying. any suggestions?

Is it a new microphone or an old one? Could it be failing? is it a USB mic or does it go through the mic jack?
It is a brand new usb mic but I have it plugged in to the mic jack and a usb slot. Shouldnt be failing.

Why is it plugged in twice?
It lights up so the usb is plugged in so the headset lights come on
