Recent Audio CD Wring Problems

Hi Folks , I own 3 Acer Travelmate Laptops , and over the last 2 weeks , none of them will write an audio cd with anything over 50 mins of audio without it becoming corrupt. If the CD has less than 20 tracks , it sometimes works , but anything over 20 tracks results in the CD appear to be writing normally , but the Lead Out time now lasts minutes , not seconds and the last few tracks will be corrupt. On One of the laptops , i have done a full restore , but its still the same. I have tried different blank media too.
Any help would be gratefully aprecciated folks !

Try burning at slower speeds? Or, clean the lens(es) of the drive(s).

Hi , thanks , just tried that , wrote at 10x instead of 24x , it looked like it was writing ok , short lead in and out , but tracks 21 - 24 still corrupt. I am using Nero 6 by the way , i have bought Nero 7 , but gone back to 6 , trying to solve this problem

Doh , just found out its the Hi Fi i am checking the discs on , cant read long discs
