Recently did a full upgrade to XP from Win98 on a clean hard drive. How can I get the MS Works from the Win98 disk?
Is there any way to pull the "additional" software off the disc?
Win98/ MS Works-money came with the PC.

If you did a clean install then you have to reinstall everything from original media. If Works came with the PC then the Works CD also came with it. If not then you have been had.

Unfortunately, you can't just copy a program folder and expect it to work.

You'll need to reinstall the application, although sometimes copying the program folder first, then installing over it, will keep your previous settings etc...

I agree with Nodsu. My Dell computer originally came with 98SE. When I upgraded to XP Home, I had to install Works separately. The Microsoft Works came on their own CDs. There were actually 6 Microsoft CDs in the set including Works.

My Win95 comp had MS Works with it )on the Windows disk) and it had a seperate installer. Just a thought...
