Redstreaks accross monitor

My Dell monitor intermittently gets red pixeled vertical streaks that distort the white background. Does anyone have any suggestion of how to fix that?

If your computer is pretty old (7 years or more), your graphics card may be dying. Also, unplug your monitor cord and check to see if any of the pins are dirty or bent. Also, check the monitor port on the computer to make sure its clean. If not, get some canned air and spray it into the port. Another cause, though not very likely if your monitor is relatively new, is that a magnetic field is interfering with the monitor. If you have any speakers or magnets near the monitor, move them. New monitors are better sheilded against magnetic fields as are most speakers, but it can't hurt to try.

Hope this helps! :approve:
