  1. Hi, i'm attempting to fix my boss's computer...and i don't really know what i'm doing.

    when i startup windows i get :

Svchost.exe The instruction at “0x71ab664d” referenced memory at “0x71ab664d”. The memory could not be “read”

Explorer.exe The instruction at “0x10007786” referenced memory at “0x71ab406a”. The memory could not be “read”

i can log in but i can't acces the desktop and when i press all the oks to terminate, the thing just shuts down.

i can access the desktop in safe mode, but thats about it.

So weren't you a bit foolish to take this task on? Do you know someone that knows what they are doing when it comes to repairing computers?

Sounds like a bad or corrupted hard drive or bad memory
