Reinstall nic dr every boot XP

OK, so I tried a few searches at TS so I feel I've done my duty. This should be simple, but I've been surfing quite a while... I pulled together some pieces for a backup PC w/an old Gateway and it boots to XP fine except I have to reinstall the nic driver from FD every time. Using the wizard. (The nic's from some generic co. called genica.)

So should I go into msconfig & boot.ini or something? Install dr. in Safe Mode? I cannot find a solution anywhere.

Thanks in advance,

Mac

If the driver you are using is the absolute correct version for the card, then, UNinstall that driver and reboot.
System startup will find the hardware and install the appropriate driver for it.

If that fails, then you don't have the correct driver in the first place.
