I had some virus' on my comuter that had gotten into my .dll files. My friend informed me that I needed to install Windows XP Pro again... So I did. As it was loading a box popped up that said the drivers trying to be installed may not be the correct drivers for my Ti 4600 8x to run properly. Windows highly advized me not to install these drivers. So I didn't. Now when my computer turns on I see the boot page and then I see the loading screen and then it blanks out. I hear the same noises as when my desktop loads I just can't see anything. Is this familiar to anyone??

I've seen this happen with an ATI Radeon 7500 card.

If you boot into Safe Mode, it will work fine.

What you'll have to do is go to Device Manager and manually install a different driver other than Microsoft's default driver.

I agree with Rick.

To get into safe mode, you'll have to press the "F8" key when you computer is booting up, just before the Windows Logo shows up. Normally I just spam the button after I see the BIOS load screens.
