  1. I have decided to get rid of this virus by reloading my entire microsoft xp pro OS.

How should i go about doing this?
-Do I have to somehow clear my hard-drive first?
-Or should I go right on installing XP pro SP3?

When installing your O/S, you have the option of formatting your HDD. Do the full format, it's automated in the install process.:)

It sure will, and remember to defrag your hdd after installing Windows and other software since there are a lot of temporary files floating around during install which leaves many holes and bits everywhere.
You can also do a pagefile defrag, http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb897426.aspx
