I'm hoping to get the elder scrolls iv oblivion for Christmas. Will my computer be able to handle it? Its an older computer and hasn't seen upgrades in a long while. If i need to upgrade to run this game what should I upgrade? I'll probably have around $200 dollars to spend. (I have a little more if absolutely necessary) If I upgrade what should I get? RAM, a video card, or a cheap video card and cheap RAM?

Thanks a bunch. techspot has helped me a lot.

If you profile specs match the computer in question- no, it will not run Oblivion.

The FX 5200 will not run Oblivion as it is missing some of the shaders needed for the game (regardless of what the system requirements lab may return).

There is a 3rd party mod known as "Oldblivion" (do a web search), that has allowed many folks with the wretched FX 5000 series cards to play Oblivion at the expense of really shodding up the graphics/visual quality.
