remote control question

I am trying to do a remote desktop conection from a Windows XP Pro to a windows 2000 Pro computer. When i attempt to connect, I get the following error: " The client could not connect to the remote computer." What do I need to do to resolve this issue? The windows 2000 pro computer is within my intranet. Thank you in advance.

You need to start the Windows Terminal Services service. You won't be taking control of the machine in exactly the same way it works on XP - but you will have a session on the remote machine. Don't remember if it's a 2K Server only thing though.

You also have the option of using a different protocol like VNC.

Yes sir. The both belong to the same workgroup
